These 8 Celebrities Launched Their Own Brands In 2019

Not content with fame and fortune, many celebrities are also pursuing business endeavors and taking entrepreneurial steps to birth their own brands, helping them to rake in millions and secure even more success.

At 21, Kylie Jenner became the youngest self-made billionaire all thanks to the success of her Kylie Cosmetics. The likes of Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande are also reportedly releasing their own beauty lines soon. And adding to their list of business ventures, the Kardashian-Jenner clan recently tapped into the multi-billion-dollar resale market by launching a new resale apparel business, titled Kardashian Kloset

Kesha is the latest singer to join the celebrity beauty club. In partnership with HipDot, the singer-songwriter is set to drop her vegan and cruelty-free makeup line, Kesha Rose Beauty, on December 13.

Here is a selection of celebrities that have launched their own brands:

Haifa Wehbe
Label: Beau Voyou

The Lebanese singer brought her talents to the fashion sector by releasing her own brand Beau Voyou earlier this year. Drawing inspiration from Lebanon, the prêt-à-porter line is the songstress’s first venture into fashion entrepreneurship. Wehbe ranked 33rd on Forbes’ Top 100 Celebrities in 2017.

Lady Gaga
Label: Haus Laboratories

The brainchild behind Haus Laboratories is multihyphenate pop sensation Lady Gaga. Exclusively available on Amazon, the cosmetics label is created with inclusivity and kindness in mind. Her hard work has earned her a spot on the Forbes Celebrity 100 2019 list, ranking 90th as one of the highest-paid entertainers in the world. The American singer-songwriter is reportedly worth $39.5 million.

Heidy Karam
Label: Beauty By Heidy

Actor and day-time TV host, Karam unveiled her all-natural cosmetics line back in July. She is reportedly the first Egyptian to launch her own beauty line, which includes glossy and summery-inspired shades.

Meghan Markle
Label: Smart Set

Moving her royal duties aside, the Duchess of Sussex ventured into the fashion industry by collaborating with Smart Works on a charitable collection of women’s workwear. With every clothing item purchased, a piece is donated to the British charity, which helps underprivileged women secure employment.

Meek Mill
Label: Dream Chasers

Mill joined forces with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation to launch a new record label titled Dream Chasers last July. The advocate and entrepreneur will serve as the President of the new New York City-based record label. Mill will oversee the label’s artist roster and build a staff, among other positions.

Victoria Beckham

Last September, the singer-turned-fashion mogul launched her first in-house, eco-friendly beauty brand, Victoria Beckham Beauty. Her eponymous cosmetic and skincare brand is sustainable and cruelty-free. Beckham is also a founder and creative director of fashion brand, Victoria Beckham Ltd.

Rihanna

Rihanna not only released a visual autobiography and her own beauty line but also ventured into luxury fashion with Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH). The multi-millionaire Barbadian is the 36th highest-paid entertainer in the world of 2019, earning an estimated $62 million.

Kelly Clarkson
Show: The Kelly Clarkson Show

This year Clarkson announced her own daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. Since its debut in September, the show pulled in 1.9 million viewership per episode, according to Nielsen data. Clarkson recently scored her very own Las Vegas residency starting next year.
