Billionaire Masayoshi Son-controlled SoftBank Group reported a net loss of $3.5 billion (¥397.9 billion) for the second quarter, compared with a profit of $5.5 billion for the year-ago period, hit by losses incurred by its Vision Fund in the wake of a decline in the share price of its portfolio companies.
