<p class="MsoNormal">After regaining the $40,000-mark for the first time this week Wednesday, the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, bitcoin, slumped to its lowest this week Friday. It extended earlier losses and declined 8.2% to $35,339 as volatility in the cryptocurrency market continues. On Thursday, bitcoin was down by 2.24%. The cryptocurrency has lost 37% in May and if the situation does not improve, it would be the worst monthly performance since September 2011.</p>
