Nelson joined Emirates NBD in 2013 as group CEO. Emirates NBD made $5.9 billion in net profit in 2023 and had about $245.7 billion in assets by the end of Q1 2024. Nelson was previously the CEO of Standard Chartered Private Bank in Singapore, and the chairman of Standard Chartered Saadiq Islamic Advisory Board.
