Bassel Gamal has been in his current role at QIB since 2013. In 2023, QIB reported total assets of $52 billion, revenues of $3.1 billion, and net profits of $1.2 billion, a 6.6% increase from 2022. In November 2023, QIB issued a $500 million USD denominated five-year sukuk. Bassel Gamal is also the chairman of QIB-UK and a board member of Qinvest.
