Al Raisi joined Oman Air in 1984 and was appointed to his current role in 2018. Oman Air travels to 48 destinations across Africa, Asia, and Europe with a fleet of 30 aircraft. In 2021 the company announced that it was expanding by adding 10 new codeshare routes to the U.S., including to New York, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. In the same year, the company signed an agreement with EGYPTAIR. Al Raisi is also the chairman of Muscat Duty-Free.
