Its app has recorded 1.1 million downloads with over 271,000 active users as of December 2022. Thndr claims that 86% of new registrations in the local Egyptian exchanges come through its platform. Cofounder and CEO Ahmad Hammouda is a former general manager of Uber in Egypt, while Cofounder and COO, Seif Amr, is a former operations manager of Uber MENA.
