Kumar was promoted to his current role in April 2022. He oversees Dusit properties in EMEA, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Maldives, Japan, and a few properties in Thailand. In October 2022, the brand inaugurated its third property in Qatar, the Dusit Hotel and Suites Doha. Kumar has spent his career with the Dusit brand. He started as general manager of Dusit Thani in Manila in 2008 and became general manager of Dusit Thani Dubai in 2013. He was made regional VP of EMEA in 2017.
