Hashemi and Almarzooqi cofounded GluCare.Health in 2020, which specializes in comprehensive diabetes management and metabolic syndrome. In January 2023, they launched meta(bolic), a platform that consolidates the technology behind GluCare.Health and Zone.Health. In January 2024, meta(bolic) partnered with ŌURA, to enhance chronic cardio-metabolic disease management. Hashemi is also the managing director of Dubai-based Polymath Ventures and the chairman of ekar. Almarzooqi is also the chairman and partner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gulf Properties.
