In 2022, DP World generated 19% of its electricity through renewable energy and reclaimed 59% of its total generated waste. DP World published its first internal sustainability newsletter in June 2022 and initiated a weekly sustainability bulletin to keep employees informed. Its decarbonization initiative resulted in a 5% reduction in emissions between 2019 and 2022. In 2022, it also launched a priority program across six pillars, including low-carbon vessels and renewable energy procurement. Ocean health initiatives include investments in blue carbon initiatives, undertaking habitat restoration projects, and participating in research projects that address marine environmental challenges.
