Aslam founded the Select Group in 2002 and served as CEO until 2024 when he became chairman. In 2024, the Select Group launched the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, with 251 units across 122 floors, and sold out its Peninsula Master Community, comprising 3,334 waterfront residences across six towers in Business Bay, Dubai. In 2025, it also acquired the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai Media City for $59 million. As of March 2025, the Select Group had delivered over 7,000 homes valued at a total of $5.16 billion, with 6,000 more under construction worth $4.42 billion.
