In August 2024, Sharjah Sustainable City, the sustainable master-planned residential community developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in partnership with Diamond Developers, recorded $680.7 million in sales across all four phases. In December 2024, The Sustainable City – Yiti, in Oman, committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040, announced it completed 96% of its infrastructure works. The community will accommodate 10,000 people and is set to be fully operational by 2026.
