Al Sulaim assumed his current position in 2021. JCDC was established in 2019. It is the developer of the Jeddah Central Project and a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). As of 2024, JCDC had four landmarks, 17,000 residential units, and over 10 entertainment and tourism projects. In February 2024, it signed four construction contracts worth $3.2 billion for Jeddah Central’s first three landmarks: the Stadium, the Opera House, and the Oceanarium. Al Sulaim was previously a senior director at PIF.
