Shalaby has been at the helm of Tatweer Misr since 2014. Tatweer Misr was established in 2014. It has a portfolio of six mixed-use projects: Il Monte Galala, Bloomfields, Fouka Bay, D-Bay, Salt, and Rivers. In 2022, the company launched the Mountain Top Crystal Lagoon in Il Monte Galala, spanning 40,000 square meters, and the West Cairo-based Rivers-New Zayed. It also signed a $16.3 million facility agreement with Egypt’s Commercial International Bank to support the construction of Fouka Bay’s third and fourth phases. In May 2023, the company signed a strategic partnership with Naif Alrajhi Investment to establish a joint venture for construction and real estate investment in Saudi Arabia. Shalaby is also the co-chair of the real estate committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and a board member at the International Council for Small Businesses.
