Rangoonwala has been with Johnson & Johnson since 1996 and assumed his current role in 2021, leading a team of 1,800 people. In 2023, the company pledged $1 million for disaster relief, supporting NGOs such as the International Medical Corps and the International Rescue Committee. Rangoonwala is a member of the EMEA Leadership Team for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine and represents the company at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. He also serves on the executive committee of PhRMA’s Middle East & Africa. He was previously president of Xian Janssen and chairman of the R&D-based Pharmaceutical Association Committee’s Executive Committee in China.
