Huenger started his career with BASF FZE in 2004 and assumed his current position in 2019. He currently oversees the company’s operations in the Middle East, Egypt, and Iran. In 2022, the company signed an agreement to implement a ChemCycling “plastic waste to pyrolysis oil” facility in Dubai and made a commitment to have 30% of leadership positions filled by women by 2025. Huenger is also a board member of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce and the Ghorfa Arab- German Chamber.
