El-Baz assumed her current position in October 2024. In the same month, she was appointed as an advisor to Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology on Postal Affairs for a one-year term. In November 2024, Egypt Post signed a cooperation protocol with the Insurance Federation of Egypt to leverage Bareedi, the registered email service provided by Egypt Post, marking a significant advancement in registered mail and proof of delivery using cutting-edge technologies. El-Baz previously served as the deputy chairman of the National Bank of Egypt.
