Alazzaz was appointed to her role by royal decree in May 2024 and was appointed by another royal decree as an advisor at the Royal Court in the same month. In 2024, SAIP launched a crackdown on counterfeit goods across Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. Alazzaz was previously the deputy secretary general of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia and she held several roles at the Public Investment Fund from 2017 to 2022, the latest being General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Directors.
