Almheiri was appointed to her current role in 2024. 2PointZero was launched in 2024 as a global investment company focused on smart sustainability and a subsidiary of the International Holding Company. The company's portfolio is expected to exceed $27 billion. Almheiri was the U.A.E.’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment from September 2021 until December 2023 and led the country’s bid for COP28. She also joined the U.A.E. delegation at COP29 in Baku in 2024. She was also previously the Minister of State for Food and Water Security.
