Shurooq aims to advance Sharjah’s cultural investment capital by identifying opportunities and connecting investors, corporations, and entrepreneurs. Al Qasimi is also president and chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah and chairperson of the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park and the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), which has supported over 420 startups, including over 180 incubated ventures that have raised over $171 million in funding. Her other roles include chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority and founder and Honorary President of the Emirates Publishers Association.
