Al-Lawati founded Aliph Capital in 2021, one of the first female-founded private equity firms in the Middle East. In December 2024, Aliph Capital‘s GCC-focused growth fund, Aliph Fund I, secured investment from Saudi Venture Capital. In the same month, the company acquired a 25% stake in SANIPEX GROUP, a lifestyle product supplier. Before founding Aliph Capital, she held roles such as partner at Gateway Partners, chief investment officer at Savola Group, and partner and chief investment officer for MENA at The Abraaj Group. Al-Lawati also sits on boards of BSF Capital, MAGRABi Retail Group, and Spinneys.
