Malek began his career in 2005 when he was cast in ‘Ayamna el halwa’ (Our Good Days). His first breakthrough role was in the TV series ‘El-Gamaah’ (The Brotherhood) in 2010. He appeared in Netflix’s ‘The Swimmers’ (2022), which was nominated for Outstanding British Film at the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards. In July 2024, he was one of the jury members for the 48Hr Film Challenge, a collaboration between Alliance Française, the French Consulate in Jeddah, and the Red Sea Film Foundation. In September 2023, he became the first male ambassador for Dior Fashion and Perfumes in the Middle East.
