Mallak was appointed to his position in 2021, after joining the company in 2002. MSD signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health to support clinical research into lung cancer in June 2024. It also signed an agreement in November 2023 with Dammam Pharma in Saudi Arabia, to manufacture diabetes medicine locally. Mallak is also a member of the executive committee of PhRMA Gulf and a board member of the American Chamber of Dubai.
