El Dabag joined Barclays in 2014 and assumed his current role in 2021. Barclays has been in the Middle East for more than 150 years. Since 2022, Barclays has grown its business across all divisions, serving sovereign wealth fund clients, government-related entities, banks, large corporates, and family offices. Before Barclays, he held roles at Goldman Sachs in Dubai, and at Stephens Inc. and Merrill Lynch in New York.
