Okasha has been with the National Bank of Egypt since 2008 and has been in his current role since 2013. In February 2023, the bank’s market share in loans was 43.1%. As of June 2023, NBE had more than 640 branches, offices, and banking units nationwide, serving nearly 19 million customers. Its deposits stood at $70.8 billion, while its loans grew to $41.6 billion. Okasha is also deputy chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Banks and a board member of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt.
