Lavanti assumed his current role in 2021, having joined Nokia in 1997. In July 2024, Nokia signed a deal with Telecom Egypt to bring 5G technology to Egypt for the first time. He has also overseen the establishment of Nokia’s regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia. Lavanti sits on the board of directors of the Nokia Saudi Arabia joint venture. He has over 25 years of experience and has previously worked in Finland, Germany, China, Türkiye, the U.A.E., and Silicon Valley.
