Mouchawar assumed his current position in 2017 after Amazon acquired Souq.com, which he co-founded in 2005. In October 2023, Amazon Saudi Arabia launched a “Saudi Made” storefront, showcasing local products certified by the Saudi Exports Development Authority’s “Made in Saudi” program. In the same month, RAKEZ and Amazon U.A.E. signed an MoU to promote local SMEs’ products. Mouchawar also sits on the board of the Dubai Future Council on Artificial Intelligence, is a member of the Dubai Future Academy Board of Trustees, and is a member of the International Advisory Council’s executive council.
