Kumar joined Dusit Hotels and Resorts in 2008 as general manager of Dusit Thani Manila and assumed his current position in 2022. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of over 300 properties under six brands in 16 countries worldwide. Dusit Hotels and Resorts opened 14 new hotels in 2023. In April 2023, it opened its Dusit Suites Athens, the first Dusit-branded property in Europe. Prior to his role, Kumar was regional vice president of EMEA at Dusit International.
