Mastercard’s Priceless Planet Coalition aims to restore 100 million trees by 2025. In 2022, the company announced its plans to actively restore mangrove rainforests over two years in collaboration with Emirates Nature-WWF. From January 2028, all Mastercard plastic payment cards will be made using sustainable materials and approved through a certification program. Approved cards will receive a Card Eco-Certification mark. This aligns with the company’s goal to reach net zero by 2040.
