Barakat Group of Companies partners with local farms to reduce its carbon footprint. Among its initiatives are the 100-Mile Initiative, which reduces the farmer-consumer distance, upcycling food waste into animal feed, and using highly biodegradable plastic for its bottles. In 2022, the group recycled 23% of its wastewater and repurposed 30.4 million kg of organic waste.
