Al-Muftah is a motivational speaker and partakes in sports like scuba diving, skateboarding, and rock climbing. He appeared alongside Morgan Freeman during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and became a FIFA ambassador in January 2024. In September 2024, he delivered a speech at the Summit of the Future 2024 in New York. He is currently pursuing a degree in political science and in 2024, he was appointed as one of Loughborough University’s strategic theme ambassadors.
