Since installing IoT sensors across 100 farms, Silal has recorded a 50% reduction in water usage and a 10% decrease in energy consumption. The company signed an agreement with the Khalifa University of Science and Technology in February 2024, to create a joint Center of Excellence in Agri-Robotics and Automation. The center will be located at Silal’s Innovation Oasis site in Al Ain with a dedicated autonomous greenhouse. In the same month, the company introduced its Mobile Crop Health Lab to provide farmers with real-time data, and enhance sustainable agricultural practices.
