Mokhtar assumed his current role in 2022, having first joined Viatris in 2020. In November 2023, Viatris signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health to provide medical education resources to primary care physicians for identifying mental health concerns. Mokhtar is among the founding members of the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council and is a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi. He is also chair of the healthcare committee of the Harvard Club of the GCC.
