Hanafi along with his wife, cofounded TLT Concepts in Egypt in 2014. The company owns and manages its flagship The Lemon Tree and Co. brand, which has three restaurants in Egypt. In 2023, it launched The Lemon Tree & Co. Athens Riviera in Greece. Other restaurant brands owned by TLT Concepts include Rituals of Zoya, Villa Coconut, The Origins, and TLT Bistro. In 2024, the company launched TLT Signature Hotels, with two properties in Egypt: Villa Coconut Hotel El Alamein and Villa Coconut Hotel El Gouna. It plans to expand the Villa Coconut brand into Dubai by the end of 2024.
