Asaad has over 30 years of experience and assumed her current position in 2020, overseeing more than 3,500 people. In February 2023, Cisco and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology collaborated to advance education via the CDA program. Hamad International Airport in Qatar also announced the launch of a next-generation Wi-Fi service powered by Cisco technologies. Before joining Cisco, Asaad spent more than 10 years across various roles with the Raya Corporation in Egypt.
