Waleed Khaled Alsharian has about 40 years of experience and joined Mabanee as CEO in 2006. Mabanee has been listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange since 1999. It has completed five projects, including The Avenues Kuwait, Hilton Garden Inn Kuwait, and the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, with five other projects under construction in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. In the first nine months of 2023, Mabanee recorded revenues of $297.6 million and total assets worth $4 billion. It had a market cap of $3.5 billion as of November 14, 2023. In November 2023, its wholly-owned subsidiary in Bahrain reached a deal to purchase a 9,554 square meters vacant plot of land in Bahrain Bay for $16.3 million. Alsharian previously worked with the Kuwait Public Transport Company.
