After obtaining her BSc in Human Genetics, Abuhantash pursued an MSc in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, followed by her PhD research, which focused on rare childhood blood cancer and discovered two potential anti-leukemic drugs. Her research provides a platform for the study of all blood diseases. It also reduces the dependency on animals for research as it aims to provide a platform for better studies in the lab. She recently joined the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center as a clinical research scientist.
