Etihad Rail contributes to the U.A.E.’s Net Zero by 2050 goals. The U.A.E. National Rail Network will reduce carbon emissions in the road transport sector by 21% by 2050, with each train trip replacing up to 300 trucks off the road. Etihad Rail monitors exhaust emissions based on standards set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, Etihad Rail has partnered with Emirates Nature-WWF, Fujairah Municipality, the Fujairah Environment Authority, and Fujairah Adventures Center to form the Al Bithnah Conservation Project.
