Cherfan joined Stellantis as COO for the Middle East and Africa and became anexecutive team member in January 2021. He was previously the executive vice president at Groupe PSA for the Middle East and Africa. The company recorded $5.1 billion in net revenues in the first half of 2023 in the Middle East and Africa, a 54% increase compared to the year before. In February 2023, the company signed an agreement with the Egyptian Authorities to set up an automobile plant in the country. In June 2023, the company announced Mohsin Haider Darwish Automobiles as its official distributor in Oman.
