AlKawari joined Katara Hospitality as CEO in January 2023. The company owns properties in Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, the U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, and the U.S. As of September 2022, it had 42 owned and managed hotels in its portfolio, with a target of 60 hotels by 2030. AlKawari has more than 25 years of experience in various leadership positions across different industries. He was previously the CEO of Msheireb Properties and the CEO of Astad Engineering Consultancy and Project Management.
