Al Hatmi has been Group CEO of ASYAD since it was established in 2016. Today, the group has 16 companies and spans three major ports. Wholly owned by the Oman Investment Authority, ASYAD has 11 subsidiaries. In April 2022, the company acquired Al Ameen Stores and Refrigeration Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oman Fisheries Company, in a deal valued at $8 million. He is also a board member of OQ. Before taking his current role, he was the CEO of Oman Rail for three years.
