Minasyan won the bronze medal in the men's +102kg weightlifting category at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Armenian-born Minasyan has represented Bahrain since mid-2022. He also won the Asian overall championship in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023.
