Rubaiawi won a gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in the Men’s 109kg category in July 2022. In May 2022, he placed second at the 2022 IWF Junior World Championships in the same category. In May 2023, he won a snatch gold medal in the 109 kg category in the Asian weightlifting championship qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics. He is currently ranked second in the world for juniors in the 2023 Annual World Ranking of the IWF.
