El Hachem joined Uber in 2018 and became general manager of the U.A.E. and Jordan in 2021. She assumed her current role as senior general manager of the U.A.E., Qatar, and Jordan in 2023. In September 2024, Uber partnered with WeRide to integrate autonomous vehicles into its fleet, officially launching the service in Abu Dhabi on December 6, 2024. Before joining Uber, El Hachem was at Booz & Company.
