El Sherbini was appointed group CEO of IDH in 2012, before which she had been CEO of Al Mokhtabar since 2004. IDH is a provider of diagnostic services, with a network of 608 branches across Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria, Sudan, and Saudi Arabia, as of September 2024. In the first nine months of 2024, IDH generated revenues of $85 million and net profits of $15 million. In December 2024, IDH purchased an additional 49% stake in Biolab KSA that was held by Izhoor Holding Medical Company for $3.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 79%.
