Masdar specializes in utility-scale renewable energy projects, community grid projects, and energy services. Active in more than 30 countries, Masdar is one of the largest developers of renewable energy projects in the Middle East. Its projects have an electricity generating capacity of 11GW. It displaces over 16 million tons of carbon dioxide per year. Since its inception, Masdar has invested in solar and wind power projects with a combined value of nearly $20 billion. Masdar’s share of this investment is in excess of $7 billion. The company is wholly-owned by the Abu Dhabi government’s Mubadala Investment Company.
