The statistics issued by the World Gold Council, which classify the countries of the world according to their stocks of gold, indicate that the Arab world possesses about 1,174 tonnes of gold, combined, equating to approximately 3.8% of the world’s gold reserves. This list ranks the Arab countries according to their gold reserves, as per 2012 data.
