In 2020, Egypt's government estimated 15 million tourist visitors, up from 13 million in 2019. The country is now ramping up its disinfection drive across beaches, archaeological sites, museums, and other tourist destinations to prepare for tourism as Egypt gradually eases its lockdown measures.
