The annual April Fools’ day pranks were more subdued than they were in quite a while during 2020, when companies decided jest wasn't the best approach in the midst of the first major U.S. coronavirus surge. But the tricks coming back might not be all that welcome in 2021. A recent survey by financial company Affirm found 54% of Americans wanted April Fools’ Day to be canceled this year.
