<p class="MsoNormal">A portion of the original spiral staircase from the Eiffel Tower was sold for $328,427 in Paris on Tuesday. The price it fetched was 10 times the estimated price, auction house Artcurial said. The three-meter-high 14-step chunk was part of the original 1889 staircase. The staircase used to connect the second and third floors of the megastructure for almost a century before a lift was installed in 1983.</p>
